About the Area
Lot 28 Sawtooth Dr is located in Bertram, Texas, in Burnet County. Burnet County sits in the heart of the Highland Lakes region, anchored by the city of Burnet, the Bluebonnet Capital of Texas, and Lake Buchanan, the largest of the Highland Lakes chain. The county blends working ranch land with lakefront recreation in a landscape that has drawn Texans for generations.
The Colorado River was dammed in the 1930s to create the Highland Lakes chain, and Lake Buchanan and Inks Lake both lie within Burnet County. The terrain transitions from the granite-topped Central Mineral Region in the west to limestone hills in the east, with the Colorado River canyon cutting through dramatic bluffs.
Bertram had an estimated population of 1,998 as of 2023. The 78605 zip code has a median household income of $81,833, a median home value of $270,800, and a median age of 38.4. The average household size is 2.77 people.
Lake tourism, retirement communities, granite quarrying, ranching, and small-scale agriculture drive the Burnet County economy. The county is experiencing significant growth as Austin-area buyers seek lakefront properties and acreage within a 90-minute drive of the city.
